Parcours: 22 site-specific artworks presented around Basel’s Münsterplatz
La 48° edizione in Basel di Art Basel sarà aperta al pubblico dal 15 al 18 giugno 2017. Con la partecipazione di 291 gallerie di punta – provenienti da sei continenti e 35 nazioni – presenterà come sempre opere considerate dal mercato dell’arte globale di alto valore, ciò ovviamente non corrisponde automaticamente a valore estetico-culturale, anzi spesso la ricerca artistica avanzata nelle fiere è scarsamente presente. Ma non siamo qui per fare spicciola sociologia del sistema dell’arte, ma giusto per informarvi che oltre alla fiera vera e propria, gli eventi che le ruotano attorno sono organizzati con tutti i crismi che l’occasione richiede. Tra questi si distingue il segmento Parcours che s’incentra sulla scultura e la performance in spazi pubblici sparsi tra varie location del centro storico di Basel. Lo show a cura di Samuel Leuenberger punta su artisti rinomati come Rirkrit Tiravanija, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg, e soprattutto sull’artista“dissidente” par excellence Ai Weiwei.
